Kleio Arabians Foundation Mare
Luna Thee Cielo, a 2011 harmonious and typey Thee Desperado daughter out of Celeste TF (Mishaal HP x Skyy), traces in her tail female line to Farida (Saklawi II x Nadra El Saghira), a 1921 mare bred by Prince Mohamed Aly Tewfik and purchased by the RAS for their breeding program. Farida was not only a very influential mare within the EAO breeding program, but also through her progeny which are now found around the world. Her sire Saklawi II bred by Khedive Abbas II, founded the most popular and prevalent sire line in modern Egyptian breeding. Farida was a great grandaughter of the Ali Pasha Sherif mare, El Dahma. To this day, one can still see the profound influence of Farida in modern Egyptian Arabian horses like Luna Thee Cielo.
